New England Patriots<\/strong><\/a> wide receiver Mohamed Sanu had a rather forgettable 2019 season.<\/p>\n

After an October trade to the Patriots from the Atlanta Falcons, Sanu appeared to be immediately worth the second round pick given up for his services.<\/p>\n

Sanu had ten receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in his second game.<\/p>\n

A week later against the Philadelphia Eagles, Sanu sustained an ankle injury while on special teams and it severely limited his production down the stretch.<\/p>\n

Sanu averaged less than three receptions the remainder of the season and had zero touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Back on May 31st, Sanu had his walking boot removed for the first time since offseason surgery to repair the ankle.<\/p>\n

Since that time, Sanu’s trainer Hilton Alexander has been publicly raving about his fast recovery progress.<\/p>\n

“I would tell you he’s probably faster, quicker, leaner and in better shape now than prior to the surgery,” Alexander\u00a0told ESPN’s Mike Reiss<\/a>. “I would say he’s way ahead of any doctor’s knowledge or prediction where he would have been at this point. Way ahead of the curve.”<\/p>\n

Sanu was also spotted working out with Cam Newton<\/a> last weekend out in California.<\/p>\n
