On the fact he\u2019s played in some exciting games and where he ranks this one:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, a lot of game-changing plays so I\u2019m glad we came out on top. \u00a0You know, we fought to the end. \u00a0That\u2019s a tough team and it always comes down to the end with them. \u00a0We talked about it before the game, it was, you know, play hard for 60 minutes and it took every last second. so proud of our team and the way we fought but, you know, we can do some things better than we did today, certainly I can and I\u2019m glad we\u2019re 9-0.\u201d<\/p>\n
On what he saw on the fourth down completion on the final drive:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u201cWe were just trying to find some space. \u00a0We had an in-breaking route to Danny [Amendola], he always makes big plays. \u00a0He\u2019s a great player for us and he always comes up big when we need him so it was a great play by Danny.\u201d<\/p>\n
On if he saw him become uncovered right away at the start of the play:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, I was just trying to find anybody who had a little space and Danny got it. \u00a0Gronk was trying to run free and Danny sprung free, got him the ball, and it was a big play. \u00a0Then he made a big play at the end there on the blitz and made someone miss and got some yards so it was a great play.<\/span><\/p>\n On his thoughts on the fact there was talk about the fact the Giants defense wasn\u2019t what it used to be but they came to play today and what he thought of their defense overall:<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThey played great. \u00a0I think they\u2019ve always had a good defense. \u00a0They\u2019re well-coached. \u00a0They\u2019re a very good football team. \u00a0We didn\u2019t play our best, but we made enough plays at the end.<\/p>\n On what his mindset was on the final drive after struggling for most of the game:<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cSure, the defense made some great plays there to give us some opportunities. \u00a0So I was glad they hung in there all day against a very good offense. \u00a0Eli[Manning]\u2019s had a good game, you know, they\u2019ve got a very good team, very good offense and our defense came up big and ended up making them kick a field goal there at the end and then we got just enough time to kind of get it down the field. \u00a0You know, execution was okay, obviously it could have been better, but we got enough yards and then Steve [Gostkowski]\u2019s such a clutch kicker, it was great to see the ball go through the uprights.\u201d<\/p>\n On if his mind flashed to the Super Bowls at all:<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cUm\u2026Nope.\u201d<\/p>\n On what he likes about this team:<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cYeah, we\u2019ve got to find different ways. \u00a0You know and guys stepped in there when Julian [Edelman] got hurt and we were down a bunch of tackles, guys are playing out of position, and I just think we keep grinding our way through it and you\u2019ve gotta find different ways to win. \u00a0You know, the defense came up then we needed it to, offense, made a few plays when we needed to but it was a great day.\u201d<\/p>\n On what happened on the interception at the goal line:<\/b><\/p>\n It was just a bad…obviously a bad throw. \u00a0Just a terrible throw.<\/span><\/p>\n On if it was a miscommunication:<\/b><\/p>\n It was a terrible throw.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Here’s what Tom Brady had to say after the Patriots win over the Giants on Sunday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":2097,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_pfeai_meta_description":"","_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false},"categories":[237],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2884","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-patriots-transcripts"],"yoast_head":"\n
