It appears Rob Gronkowski is finalizing his new career post-football.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, Ryan Satin of FS1’s “WWE Backstage”<\/em> program shared a report that Gronkowski is close to finalizing a deal with WWE.<\/p>\n Take a listen in the tweet below.<\/p>\n https:\/\/twitter.com\/WWEonFOX\/status\/1237587202625818625?s=20<\/p>\n The rumors of a Gronk jump to the WWE have been circulating<\/a> for a few years, he previously worked with the wrestling giant in an appearance at WrestleMania 33<\/em> in 2017 and is close friends with wrestler Mojo Rawley.<\/p>\n This past August, Gronkowski spoke<\/a> about his WWE interest, but did not view himself as becoming a full time wrestler.<\/p>\n “With wrestling, I don’t feel like I would be a full-time wrestler, but there is one thing I’m down for,” Gronkowski said. “And that’s to do one crazy match. Practice it for a little bit, go out there — like in a Royal Rumble — go out there, I got my friend in WWE [Rawley], practice it and do a full-on WWE match. I’m not saying when, maybe five years. I got the rest of my life to do that. I’ve always dreamed about doing that, just one time, going in there and going full-out.
