Anytime you put two competitors who hate to lose up against each other on the field, it shouldn’t be a surprise when tempers flare, and that’s exactly what happened Tuesday on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium.<\/p>\n

Julian Edelman and Stephon Gilmore found themselves squaring off and in the literal heat of the moment, the two got into it after the play where blows were exchanged, leading to both players being ejected by head coach Bill Belichick.<\/p>\n

Given their high stature at their respective positions, it was a reminder that the zero tolerance policy when it comes to fighting applies to everyone and both saw their day come to a screeching halt as they were forced to leave the field.<\/p>\n

One fan from yesterday’s practice captured the moment, with Gilmore reaching up and pulling on Edelman’s facemask during the altercation.<\/p>\n
