The days of the New England Patriots playing on “Championship Sunday” may be over for at least the time being, but after two recent decades of unprecedented success, there are always good memories to look back on.

Such an instance occurred on Thursday when Julian Edelman shared a “Throwback Thursday” posting on Instagram that featured a few photos from the 2018 AFC Championship between the Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.

In an accompanying caption, Edelman wrote “Win and Get In Season.”

That game, of course, wound up being an all-time playoff win during the last hurrah of the dynasty, and a rather unexpected one over the favored Chiefs led by first-year quarterback and MVP Patrick Mahomes. Edelman himself had a big impact on that game, especially in overtime when he caught two of the three third and long conversions to help set up the winning touchdown from Rex Burkhead.

Edelman finished the contest with seven receptions for 97 yards in the 37-31 victory and would earn the Super Bowl MVP award just two weeks later.
