The New England Patriots entered their week three matchup with the upstart Las Vegas Raiders looking to bounceback from a tough defeat in Seattle.

For Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, it marked his first return to Foxboro since the infamous 2001 AFC divisional playoff game that kick started the Patriots dynasty.

Take a look back at all the sights and sounds shared over social media before, during, and after the game below.

In the first quarter, both offenses struggled early as neither team could get much going on third down.

A Raiders 29 yard field goal marked the only scoring, but the Patriots defense kept them in the game.

The first quarter struggles continued into the second, but two Nick Folk field goals put the Patriots in front for the first time.

With under two minutes to go until halftime, both offenses came alive.

A Rex Burkhead 11 yard pass from Cam Newton oushed the Patriot lead to ten at 13-3.

With time and all three timeouts remaining, the Raiders found a way to score just before halftime to cut the Patriots lead to three.

Derrick Carr to Foster Moreau for the touchdown and the Patriots entered the half up 13-10.

After struggling to find room in the first half, running back Sony Michel opened the third quarter on fire.

A 38-yard burst by Michel helped setup Rex Burkhead’s second score of the afternoon.

Leading 20-10 late in the third quarter, Sony Michel continued to find the open field, and set a career-high run in the process.

The 48-yard run by Michel Setup a Folk field goal, and the Patriots would extend their lead to 23-10 after three.

In the fourth quarter, the Raiders offense remained stifled as all they could muster was another field goal.

The Patriots responded a drive later with a statement push to close out a win with none other than Rex Burkhead once more.

A two-yard run for Burkhead’s third touchdown of the game put the Patriots up 29-13, another career-day for one of the running backs.

Leading 29-13 with around five minutes to go in the game, the Patriots pinned the Raiders inside their own five.

Deatrich Wise iced the game with a fumble recovery in the end zone for a touchdown and a 36-13 lead.

A garbage time Carr touchdown to Hunter Renfrow brought the Raiders within 16 but it was too little too late as the Patriots moved to 2-1 on the young season.

With the win, Bill Belichick tallied his 275th regular season victory, the third head coach to reach that mark.

The Patriots will head to Kansas City to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs next Sunday afternoon.
