On Thursday, New England Patriots lineback Dont’a Hightower underwent successful surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle and on Friday he took to his social media accounts to thank his fans for all their love and support during his procedure.
Quoting a verse from the bible in a caption below a photo of himself, Hightower said;
“Isaiah 43:2 states, ‘When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.’ I wanna thank everyone that’s kept me in their prayers.”
The good news, although Hightower is expected to miss the remainder of the 2017 season including the playoffs, but NFL Networks Ian Rapoport provided that news that the surgery was a succes and he will make a full recovery for 2018.
