Through 11 weeks of the season, here’s a quick look at the top 10 New England Patriots receiving plays of 2016 from our stats database:
Chris Hogan leads the way with a 63-yard reception back in Tom Brady’s first game back in Week 5 against the Browns. Hogan also accounts for four of the longest receptions of the season, joining Rob Gronkowski in that category.
Rookie receiver Malcolm Mitchell jumped in at the number three spot with his 56-yard touchdown reception, but that’s also the longest scoring strike of the season, moving ahead of the 53-yard scoring plays by both Rob Gronkowski and Chris Hogan back in Week 8.
It’s also worth noting that four of those plays came on third down, showing that Brady has been anything but conservative when it matters. Which proves, once again, why he remains the best in the game at his position.
