I bought WWZ to read at the beach a couple of years ago, but it was behind a few others and I didn't get around to it. Now b/c they made a movie from it I figured I'd finally knock it out.

Hmmm. Interesting device (it's done as interviews excerpted from the "after-action report.") I can easily imagine specifics of it making a good movie... and of COURSE I can imagine the visuals being great.

However... has anybody seen it? It strikes me that there's not much story in there, other than "Braaiiiiins..." Actually they seem to just moan incoherently rather than say anything, in this version.

Footnote: also saw the clever and sweet zombie movie "Warm bodies." It was fun and sometimes downright witty, and did a clever fusion of teen angst and first-person undead monolog. I'd recommend it, look in your cable or netflicks options.

No, but it's still a really good movie. I'd recommend it.

I enjoyed the movie too. The ending could have had a little more zip to it, but overall, solid flick.

Probably one that's better on the big screen... but I think I'll wait until cable gets it (should be another 20 minutes or so now...)
