So which of these 2 top rookies is going to start in a regular season game for us first?

That's a toughie. Maroney is probably more ready but he has a better player in front of him. I'll say Jackson as one of the two "starting" WR - it's also possible he could start with Branch and Caldwell in a 3 WR set to open the season (not likely but possible) but that doesn't really count.

i voted for Jackson but i think also Maroney could 'win'

I voted for the one player who is actually on the Pats roster.

I've never seen Jameson play. Why wasn't Chad Jackson included? He stands a better chance of starting.

I bet our rookie kicker, Crapowski, starts every game this year.

Well, I would have voted for Chad Jackson given the option. I'll go w/ Gostkowski w/ Mills as my underdog choice (depends what formation they line up in 1st).

My money's on Gostkowski to get the first touch before any other rookie this season. Probably before a lot of vets, too! In fact, I'd say there's about a 50% chance that at some point he'll lead the team in touches.

I'll take Jameson, please. Yes on the rocks.

Now, what was the question?

Chad ???eson??

Don't know that guy, but I like our new guy Chad Jackson..

I say that David Thomas starts before the others( have a feeling that Pass is injured) and Thomas starts the season in front on Dillion in the I formation...

I agree...Thomas!!

Shankowski!

How did someone edit my post a year before I wrote it?

You should have listed the entire draft class. I think Gostkowski and (to a lesser extent) Mills both have a decent shot at being the first. And if either Watson or Graham pull up lame in TC, Thomas will start Week One.

I think the intent was just to pick between the top two. Of course Gostkowski is the best bet - he's 50-50 to have the first play of the season unless he somehow lets Gramatica beat him out.

Barring a pre season injury to Corey Dillon.

The first offensive play run this season will have Dillon inthe backfield and a three WR set, Branch, Jackson and .............Caldwell.
BUT... will it be a crossing pattern or slants out of the no-huddle? :cool2:
