Do you remember Revis being out for the entire second half as well. How about no Calvin pace, Trevor Pryce, or Santonio Holmes.
How about this stat. The 2010 New England Patriots are 0-2 agains the Ryan brother's defenses. 14 points in each.
*chuckle* I love when Jets fans use eachother's materials as if that, somehow, makes it important.
The First time the Pats played the Jets was week 2.
Welker wasn't 100%.
Moss had already said he wanted out.
Logan Mankins was holding out.
Gerard Warren was playing in just his 2nd game as a Patriot.
Devin McCourtey was playing in just his 2nd game in the NFL.
Brandon Meriweather wasn't starting.
Jermaine Cunningham and Brandon Spikes were also starting in just their 2nd games. As were Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski.
BJGE was in his 2nd game as "THE MAN" at RB.
Woodhead hadn't suited up yet for the Pats.
So, while the Jets were without Holmes, Pace and Trevor Pryce, there were plenty of things affecting the Patriots as well.
The Cleveland game was a bad game all around for the Patriots. Their practices that week had been garbage. They all said so. From Belichick to Brady and many of the player in between. And that has as much or possibly more to do with them losing as the "Ryan Defense."
Both teams are 9-2. The competition the Pats have faced has been tougher than what the Jets have faced since the Pats faced the Steelers and Colts. And the Pats put up 39 points on the Steelers when they were the best team in the league in terms of Points allowed.
In the 9 games since the Pats lost to the Jets, the Pats are averaging over 31 points a game scored while allowing just under 24 points against against. The Jets haven't faced an offense that prolific all season. It will be interesting, to say the least.
