i saw rush open up for boc in 1976 at the providence civic ceter. now called the dunkin donuts center.
The self-titled Sublime album has been my go-to summer music for about twenty years. My kids are around like 99% of the time, so the minute they’re (and the wife) are out the door and it’s a summer cleaning day, my Sonos is cranked up in every room with that album.
The rest of the year it’s either Nirvana, Johnny Cash, Guns N Roses, or 60-80s pop/rock.
For me, summer is reggae and deep/tropical house and down tempo. Been on a big down tempo kick lately. @captain insano you might like this genre of house music too. Feels good on the ears.

@SammyBlueCat his music and talent live on to be enjoyed forever. I saw STP in Boston at the orpheum in 2002. Easily one of the best shows I have ever seen. And ive seen a sh!tload of shows over the years
