Nothing should surprise us anymore especially with the leaders we have today in America.

    Gang Banger Problem
As for giving aid to Chicago that will never happen they secretly want them to kill each other off, that is the easy way of getting rid of them instead of jailing them, the prisons are already loaded with them so what better way to exterminate them, let them do it to themselves.
Liberal Democrats can be very ruthless.

    Also
Money to the Gaza Killers while America's wounded warriors are all over TV begging for money.

PR ... it's a great burden in life to be sentenced to being born in Gaza.

The citizens are not the terrorists ... Hamas sponsors terrorism.

The death toll today is Israel 27, Palestinians 518(100 are children)...

Perhaps Israel will shut their water off again...

We should send humanitarian aid, as we are complicit as we send weapons to Israel regularly...

What is the endgame here?? How is justice defined??

The problem is that no one can tell an ordinary citizen from a terrorist in Gaza.

But as long as it's 100% guaranteed that no terrorists will benefit from the money.....

You should ask the terrorists that question DarrylS.

Whomever starts the aggession must be willing to pay whatever price there is to be paid. Hamas is responsible for everyone that has died.

We'll see how much of that money is allowed to go to the benefit of the ordinary people living there.

If it's anything less than 100%, it's a WASTE of money.

What I meant was that if one dime gets in the hands of terrorists, then it's not worth giving them anything.

    I know you don't think that's absurd.

Or do you Jack? I'd really like to know

They did, and as much as I'm loathe to say it, the situation on the ground was very difficult for the Palestinians in those elections. The Fatah group were basically acting like the mafia, extorting protection money from businesses and harassing the locals. Palestinians didn't really buy into the Hamas religious agenda, and Hamas played that down in favor of promoting their social agenda, which promised an expansion of their care network (hospitals, welfare, etc). So when the Palestinians went to the polls, they pulled the lever and hoped.

Alas, months like this are the result...

EDIT - But all of this underscores the misplaced anger of (well-meaning portion of) the anti-Israel crowd. Yes, we should all feel some empathy for the Palestinian civilians, but the real bad guys here are Hamas, and before them, Arafat and his PLO thugs, and before him, the Grand Mufti, none of whom ever did the Palestinian people a real favor.

Or . . . just don't borrow it ? We don't have this $47M we have to borrow it wherever it goes. It would be best suited never being borrowed to begin with.

What a gigantic waste of money. Obama could call a presidential address, gather the media, and then proceed to wipe his ass with $47M in front of millions, and it would be a better use of that money than aiding Gaza.

Meanwhile last week we allocated another 621 Million for Israeli Defense spending...

The Death Toll is now 626 Palestinians, many children and 29 Israeli's... how do they define justice?? Should be a good day for more carnage... turn on your tv's...
