I see this rumor going around on PFT and Twitter. Can anyone confirm or point to the source where this came from?

If true then I think stuff is about to get real....

Oh yes, if true ......... it will go public?

Please be true because all the bad stuff has come out already. If true, I wonder if Berman is turning the screws on the league. Maybe he's annoyed, good, because I'm annoyed.

I wonder if Sally Jenkins' tweets saying that Berman should demand this has morphed into a rumor that the demand was made. Social media can work like that.

If it's true, I have to think this is a positive development for Brady. The biggest danger was that Judge Berman wouldn't look too closely, and would basically just say "you agreed to Goodell as an arbitrator, deal with it." I doubt he would request all of these notes unless he had major concerns about Goodell's conduct that warranted further investigation.

I was surprised the appeal papers became public. This would be brilliant.

apparently DeMaurice Smith wants to be cocounsel in the appeal next week. He probably sees the case as strong.

Imagine if this is true. And then remember that the NFL was the one who wanted the case to be heard in NYC.

I am pretty sure Florio just retweeted Sally Jenkins tweet saying that is what Judge Berman should do to end the case.

This is all I think it is. It would be nice if he did demand it though, if he DOES demand those documents, I'll finally jump on board the "Goodells days are numbered" train, however, without something big like that, he'll keep sitting pretty, taking his blows and sucking on his near unanimous neverending support from most of the owners. It's truly unfathomable, really, but its not changing without a public leak against the NFL for once, instead of only leaks against those supposedly under its shield.

I just saw her tweets. I would have to agree that it was probably based on them but can you imagine if this was true?

The NFL would race to that table for a settlement faster than a Gronk spiked football hits the turf.

Please be true but I'm not optimistic, they must have used another channel for the hot stuff, like talking while playing Xbox. Unless they are stupid. Wait..

I am sure during the mediation discussions, Judge Berman may tell Goodell that requesting all communications between Pash and Wells and possibly transcripts from all the interviews from the Wells investigation will not be off the table if they do not settle.

It would be only logical if Judge Berman is looking at the process and whether it was a fair and independent investigation to get the communications and work products.

If there is a threat that this could go public the case would end in a minute, the NFL would probably beg for settlement...at that point if the NFLPA and Brady wanted to stick it to Goodell they could reject it and force the release...thatd be unfrickinbelievable

I said a few days ago, and I feel even more strongly now, that this will end with Goodell losing his job.

If that was the case and the NFL was really trying to make an honest effort to settle the judge might not look too kindly on Brady's camp if they reject it.

    Depends what the offer is.
I think the 'keep the judge happy' thing is overrated, except that there is a real probability that if the judge believes Brady is totally innocent and has been railroaded, he can find a way to throw it out on a CBA violation while if he doesn't the standard could be higher.

If that was the case, Brady would have to ask the NFL to not only drop the suspension, but make a statement that they no longer stand by their conclusion and can not determine if any deflation at all occurred. They'd also have to agree to a neutral arbitrator for future decisions.

IF that were to happen, the Patriots would have to get their penalties rescinded also. How could they justify keeping them?

If true.......then the league must rename their exclusive club...."The Full 33"....because TB12 has a wish list that needs to be filled. I'd start with ownership of the next franchise....gratis.

ok...and whats the worst case scenario...we lose in court? the public records would be the end of Goodell, the emails would show the investigation wasnt anything close to independent and the league was out to get brady and the patriots...if that happened they league would probably overturn the punishment anyway...so we'd win regardless
