Just a suggestion.
I think the star ratings for the threads tend to clutter up the display with a bunch of stars, for no real benefit. Personally, my decision to read a thread is primarily based on the thread title.
I notice most other vBulletin boards I've seen have them off, and the display is much cleaner.
I believe it's just a switch in the vBulletin software to turn them off.
