We seem to do well with 1st round picks but not so with the 2nd so..
Would you trade up with this pick and one of our #1 to get a better player?

I believe we have two 3rd rounders??

We don't have an extra 3. Some people speculated we might get a
supplemental 3 because of losing Givens. Doesn't look that way. Maybe
some supplementals like a 4,6 and 7. We have an extra pick for Gorin. A 7
I believe. We lose a 5 for D.Gabriel.

A couple of our 2's have worked out. Light,Branch and E.Wilson. Still not giving up on CJ. Busts were; Klemm,Bethel and M.Hill. 50% isn't awful for mostly late 2's. We did get Dillon for a 2. Could we get R.Moss for a 2 this year?? If we want him.

I would have no problem with the Pats trading their second round pick to move up in the first round.... assuming the right person slides out of the top 10.

If we move up for a WR I would be kind of pissed.

If its a stud LT or athletic freak type Pass Rusher that could fill the OLB spot, then I would be psyched. Possibly a CB.

Seattles first and our second round pick might be able to get us as high as the 13 spot. I doubt Buffalo would trade the #12 to us for a fair price. To trade with San Fran or Atlanta at 10 or 11, we are probably going to have to trade both #1's, for a 1st and 3rd round pick. Not sure that I would be ok with doing that.

Let's not trash our second rounders too bad. Taken in the Second rd since 1999:

Pick#
46 Kevin Faulk RB Louisiana State
46 Adrian Klemm G Hawaii -Point conceecded on this one.
48 Matt Light T Purdue
65 Deion Branch WR Louisville
36 Eugene Wilson FS Illinois
45 Bethel Johnson WR Texas A&M
63 Marquise Hill DE Louisiana State
32 Chad Jackson, Florida

Granted not all of them have made it, but there is still alot of talent in the second round.
