No need to click on his excrement. Just read the URL and you'll be awash in his cologne of vinegar and water. I would love to wash it off his face... by giving him a swirly.

Get back in there, Ron...

I read it earlier and he has a point. The Ravens studied the Packers game and attacked us very well. We need to generate proper pass rush.

that guy is such a biased troll

i'll wait till monday afternoon to form my opinion

All week long we kept hearing how tough it was going to be to score on the Baltimore defense, that the Patriots would be fortunate to score twenty points, etc.

(The Pats score 35, and there's not a peep. Actually that's not true; it's that the Pats had to resort to trick plays, with implications that they cheated, and didn't deserve those points or the victory.)

All week long we kept hearing how great Flacco is in the playoffs, the Ravens have the Patriots number, and Baltimore is New England's kryptonite.

The Pats win, and the only thing certain people see is the 31 points allowed.

I just can't imagine how miserable some people must be to go through life seeing everything as a glass that is half (or more) empty.

Miserable jerk with miserable commenters below the miserable article.

They won a playoff game against a brutal opponent and one of the best post-season QBs in the league. And wah, wah, wah.

And here's a news flash: almost every SB run involves a bit of luck, and in the Pats' case, two SB defeats were because of bad breaks (dropped int and dropped pass) and untimely injuries.

We are incredibly lucky to have witnessed this 14-year-and-counting run. And no, it's not all Brady.

The DL -- and I include Ninko and Jones in that -- indeed didn't accomplish much. Their play wasn't quite as bad as their results, because both teams were affected by a lack of offensive holding calls. But it was a far from stellar performance.

As for the DBs and cover LBs -- they missed some plays too, including 2 of the 3 alleged bad Revis plays, the infamous swing pass, and pretty much the whole first Baltimore drive.

I can predict what was said. While this team is mentally tough, there has to be concern that we appear to be weak on both sides "in the trenches." That usually doesn't bode well. I doubt Indy can exploit it, but Seattle definitely can.

Borges is right about the defense giving up yards and points, but why does he always have to preface any observation with criticism of fans and other journalists or commentators? Borges is so tedious.

Ravens scored 10 points in the 2nd half and 7 of them were a result of their huck it up and hope for PI tactics.

Or how about before the end of the half instead of 3rd and 10 from the NE 44 it is 1st and 10 from the 24 because of the ticky tack PI call on Revis. Which again was another jump ball hope the WR gets it or PI is called

All they exposed was 14 points came from the tactic they are well known for.

Hey Borges.... Seattlestatman says hello !

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2789279

I was on the Patriots ESPN board on a Sunday night about 7pm when SeattleStatman posted a link connecting Borges to a earlier Mike Sando article that Borges plagiarized. At the time Sando was a writer for the Tacoma News Tribune . With the hate Patriots fans had toward Borges, in a couple hours many of us notified multiple media sources and Kerry Byrne of Cold Hard Football facts posted the two articles. The next morning Dennis and Callahan were running with the story and it didn't take long for the Globe to fire Borges.

I am proud to say, that Cupofjoe1962 along with 4 others were credited with assisting the notification of the media by an article written by Seattlestatman on cold hard football facts later that week. I even got a email reply from Mike Sando, who I notified via email. Mike Sando is now a writer for ESPN.

I only read articles where there is a possibility that I will learn something I didn't know or be encouraged to consider a perspective that I hadn't or wouldn't. I don't need ball-washing of the Pats but I'm a sticker for basing conclusions on facts and not picking facts to suit preconceived conclusions (not that I'm perfect in that regard ). Having read enough from Borges since he came here as Al Davis' stooge from the Oakland Tribune, I know there is no possibility he will produce an article worthy of my attention.

Haven't read this puke in over 12 years, like Tomase he's dead to me. Stopped reading both of their papers many years ago.

Overall the Boston media sucks ass, most think far too highly of themselves and are in no way anywhere near as good at their jobs as they think they are.

You can be an a hole and be right.

He's right.

Borges is right. It would be nice if someday he'd wake up and realize that he can provide observations without insulting everyone in his path. Belichick said in his press conference that the defense was awful. No one came away from a great 35-31 game thinking this one was won by the defense.

Borges could have started his story in the 5th paragraph where he began to provide some statistics about the Ravens' impressive production, and it would have been fine. But he had to take four+ paragraphs to insult everybody who watches these games, as if that were a premise of why he's right and we're stupid.

The other thing is that Borges dismisses the Ravens' performance like it was the Patriots' fault. Those guys gave the Patriots their best shot and deserve a helluva lot of credit for what they did on Saturday. The Patriots just threw the last punch and played the 60-minute game they needed to win.

In the words of Lou Gorman, "The sun will rise, the sun will set, and Ron Borges will be a douche."

Is he still upset that we drafted Richard Seymour over David Terrell?

I hate to say it, but I would agree with that.

There is nothing in this article that isn't true. I agree Borges is often irrational and has an axe to grind, but to believe this article is just hyperbole is burying your head in the sand. The Patriots defense was putrid for most of the game against the Ravens, failed to generate ANY pressure on Flacco, got run all over, and had several complete breakdowns, including the TD that put Baltimore up 28-14. They let the Ravens slice through them like a hot knife through butter on the first two offensive drives. In fact, the first drive was truly one of their worst efforts I can remember; they looked completely confused and helpless.

That is not the type of performance I expected from the new "revamped" defense either, and if it weren't for Brady's heroics, most on here would be singing a different tune. Borges is also correct that both of Flacco's interceptions were his own mental gaffes; it's not like either throw was forced.

Let's face it; people overreact based on an outcome (w/l) which is often decided by a few inches and a play or two. Had the Patriots lost, they'd be calling for Patricia's head, completely throwing the defense under the bus and saying it's time to completely rebuild that unit; whereas now that they won the game, all is rosy in Patriots nation.

I hope they can fix these major defensive problems or it's going to be another failed quest. Sorry to be the voice of reality here, but let's be honest with ourselves.

Ummmmm......"Sorry to be the voice of reality"???

You're not exactly sticking your neck out on this. There are 7 ahead of you on that in this thread.
