Normally gun related charges are used as bargaining chips in pleas. Since this is likely not to be settled with a plea I have no idea if they will actually will use this leverage.

Re: Re: **The Ongoing Aaron Hernandez Thread**

I think he'd do under 5 years if he was convicted on the weapons charges, which leads to my question would any NFL team sign him if he was out of prison by 26-28 years old?

Any football team has about a snowball's chance in hell of signing Hernandez even if his dream scenario plays out in court. WILL...NOT...HAPPEN.

He's got about the same chance of resuming his football career as OJ Simpson did getting an NFL broadcasting job or another bogus bad-acting movie role after his acquittal. This guy will be a pariah in the football industry no matter what, and I'd bet my very life on it. I'm not even kidding.

Hernandez might even have a worse reputation than OJ Simpson in the industry, when all is said and done. That's saying something. Nobody is going to touch him with a 40-foot pole; in fact, they'll go out of their way of even mentioning his name, much less affiliating themselves professionally with him in any way.

    It's a done deal.

The grand jury continues to convene in the July 2012 shooting, and recently read where a judge compelled some reluctant witnesses to testify...

The chips will fall into place, if anyone believes what a pundit or AH defense lawyer says that is foolhardy... they have him, he will never see the inside of an NFL stadium again...

Even if there is the remote chance of acquittal on the more serious charges, he will get maximum time on the gun charges...

I'm a practicing Roman Catholic, so understand that I'm just messing around.

Tebow seems like a great guy. It's unfortunate that his skill set has not progressed enough to be a good NFL QB, but I'd never even think of saying anything negative about him as a person.

I can't really go as far to say that "I feel terrible for the guy," but I do appreciate and respect him tremendously as a human being.

He's doing much better than the rest of us financially, mentally, physically, and spiritually--so it's hard for me to feel bad for him. He'll be successful in just about every aspect of his life outside of being able to say that he's a professional QB in the NFL, so if anything he should be feeling bad for me!

He wasn't eligible for the PS, he has been active in too many games...

Regarding the Tom Brady comments, they stem from comments he made to Esquire Magazine after reading, "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. The comments were made in 2008.....

    So.......

How sad is it that this thread has, as of this posting, 234 MORE comments than the "JETS Suck" thread?

Seriously, folks, you need to get your priorities straight.

Well, you have to take into consideration that the Jets suck every season, every game, pretty much every day.

It's pretty rare that a talented player (from any team) is involved in a murder.

One of the 3 amigos, Wallace, had a court hearing yesterday. Nothing noteworthy.
Aaron still enjoying prison amenities and activities.

I only wish that OPs posting on other topics brought the discipline to keep a topic to a single thread like this one.

No kidding. It's something of a literary wonder how this one seems to stay on topic, while other ones seem to have more off ramps than the Jersey Turnpike.
