Hmmm let me see bookend tackles all settled for the next decade.....yeah I will take that...the sky isn't falling guys

In a vacuum I like the pick but if they had signed Mankins then they coulda gone with Defense.

"Todd" Light as they call him is nearing the end.

That pick left me feeling so sad and empty. So many good players there and they pick this kid. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
He is one of the good players that were there, and one that we need.

Schefter: "Multiple teams really liked Patriots first-round pick Nate Solder, some as the draft's top OT."
That doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is what people here think.

Sounds like he'll be good. Will be very disapointed though if they miss getting a good pass rusher though. They could trade one of their 3 3rds(along with 28) to get Jordan?

For those suggesting that's it for Light, I'm not so sure.
Solder may well need a year or two.
It certainly changes the dynamics of the Light negotiations.

Do the Patriots want a rookie lacking experience or power protecting Brady?
Or do they want a multi-year deal at big money with someone in front of their top pick?

Note Solder put up 21 bench presses - not everything, but extremely low for an OT. Multiple WR's break 20.

Belichick has said a couple times you only get franchise LT's at this spot.
But an interesting pick with all this defense available.

Tom Brady sleeps like a baby tonight ....

ok let's do this -- go up to Tb's pick and grab Jordan.

If Bowers gets past TB and NO we have to trade up to 25 to get him because Cleveland won't pass him up. I've changed my mind, I dont want to trade down from 28, time to fix the defence.

Is thiw going to be one of the picks that get trashed by the Chcken Littles all offseason? If so, it is most likely a great pick and i am all for it.

We need the guy, I think. In case we haven't noticed, the perfect TFB isn't the most mobile guy in the world and it's shown up at really bad times.

More time with Tommy comfortable in the pocket = good.

Hmmmmm, wasn't there similar reactions last year when McCourty was drafted?

Maybe Justin Houston at #28?
Next 3-4 OLB if he remains.

Are all my fellow Solder fans celebrating?

Prince's sister in the red top ... wow ... HELLO!!!

Solder was a great pick. Wilkerson, if picked, is a solid yet unspectacular player. I still wouldn't sleep on Bowers. They seldom retain flashy players after five years so economically it makes sense. This is further validated by how much time they spend in spread. Amazing how many 34 teams passed on Jordan, ain't it? I'm beginning to feel validated.
