I dont know how many saw the boomer esaison show last week. He had phil simms on and shared an interesting story about the green bay passing game.
According to simms the who green bay passing game has developed purely through a chance happening. Apparently the first 2 games the packers were the traditional 2TE /2WR protect favre package. Then when the pats played the chargers and the packers watched tape of the game , they decided to try out the 3 WR package the week after when they played the chargers. Simms said favre was nervous because of the new look and lesser upfront protection but it worked in the game and they kinda liked it and kept developing it throught the season.
