Well I think that sounds pretty good for a tackle drafted in the fifth round. It doesn't sound like a flop at all.
Marcus Cannon was an absolute flop at offensive guard earlier this season.

Just to get things clear. Do you think Cannon the player is a flop, or Cannon the guard? Because sure, he isn't a very good guard. But to call Cannon the player a flop is just ridiculous in my opinion.

I said my piece in post #38.

Cannon at Left Guard was a flop, which we saw coming a mile away.

Cannon at Right Guard? Who knows...

If the pats draft aj cann at #32 then we have a viable replacement for either Wendell or Connelly.

Dan Connolly will be an unrestricted free agent upon conclusion of the 2014 NFL Season. Dan Connolly will be also be 33 years old once the 2015 NFL Season commences. Meanwhile, Ryan Wendell only has one year left on his contract.

It is disingenuous to give all the credit to Bryan Stork for solidifying the offensive line, while Connolly and Wendell get none of the credit.

I agree with you A.T. on Stork not being the sole reason for the OL's improvement. There's definitely a wider dynamic going on regarding the OL's better performance.
Where I lose you is the list of BB's questionable/bad OL draft picks. Where's the connection between that list and Stork getting too much credit for the OL's resurgence?

Cann does look awesome but do you think he has the mobility to run screens the way we like to?

Really?

I guess the rejuvenation of Dan Connolly and Ryan Wendell play no part whatsoever in the stability of the offensive line. Two offensive lineman that prior to the 2014 NFL Season, a majority of posters on this message board wanted replaced.

Marcus Cannon offensive guard - flop
Jordan Devey offensive guard - flop and inactive the past two games
Josh Kline offensive guard - flop
Chris Barker offensive guard - banished to the practice squad

Marcus Cannon - 5th round - Players drafted in the 5th round have 80% bust rates
Jordan Devey - Undrafted Free Agent
Josh Kline - Undrafted Free Agent
Chris Barker - Undrafted Free Agent

Just some perspective.

Cannon only went so late because he was recovering from cancer

Ok, but Stork taking over at center enabled Wendy and Connolly to GO BACK to positions where they didn't suck -and BB knew they didn't suck. So their level of performance (atG) was not a surprise, Stork's at C was (somewhat a surprise-or at least fulfillment of a lot of wild hopes) and was the key to the synergy-improvement!

Devey, Kline, Barker all suck.

The issue with the offensive line is the lack of quality interior offensive line draft picks since 2005 when Logan Mankins was selected in the first round.
