FFS are we seriously cursed at this position? For the love of God Theo and Tito get us a good one who minimizes errors would you.

Not once.. by 2 errors for the price of 1. Meh, meh and meh.

I was talking about Lowrie you f-ing troll

Lowrie is ok/mediocre at best.

Not, not, N-O-T an everyday player.

Man oh man.

Cabrera was perfect for this team, but Theo had stars in his eyes and signed the man who made the last out in the 2004 WS instead and it's been a train wreck ever since.

Renteria was hurt through most of 2005 and couldn't handle the pressure of replacing two beloved heroes, he snapped. Lowrie isn't the best but he's better than what they have, he still has a lot to prove but his upside is better than an out of place 2nd baseman and minor league players that won't sniff Boston unless they drive through it.

Yes, agreed; the clock has struck midnight regarding the current shortstop.

Knowing Lowrie was hurt and Lugo was a train wreck, how Theo could go into the season without a proven shortstop is beyond me..............

Lowrie got hurt April 11th, over a week into the season. He didn't go into the season without a proven shortstop, he already had a full half season at the position already

Lowrie had a wrist that was bothering him last year and it still bothered him this year; that is the definition of being hurt going into the season.

He was far from a proven shortstop going into the season.

Honest to Christ.

We have one ... Julio Iglesias and he sings.

No seriously ... we have 3 in the pipeline if that means anything. :confused2:

Lowrie played through wrist injury - Extra Bases - Red Sox blog

The minor injuries were revealed Tuesday when Lowrie underwent an MRI. The wrist has already begun to heal itself, Epstein said, and should be back to full strength with three weeks of rest

Spring Training started about four months after the season ended, it was fully healed.

If he re-injured it before the season started he never told the staff that he re-injured it or that it was hurting him at all until April 11th when played his last game before the DL.

What pisses me off is that Foolio Lugo is over in Saint Louis hitting .400 with 2 doubles, 2 triples, a homer, and 3 rbi's. All of that with only 1 error. Guess he just needed to get out of the pressure cooker that is Boston

Lowrie was hurt half his rookie year, and still had one of the top five OPS in baseball for a shortstop. He plays good defense.

Players like Nomar don't exist anymore because of steroids testing. SSs aren't going to hit 40 HRs and play decent defense.

Hanley may hit 40, but hes a butcher with the glove.

I dub thee Nick "Errors" Green.
