Geeze, sounds like nothing short of a last minute reprieve from the Governor will get you out of going

Just think- the third installment of Twilight comes out in a couple of weeks so you could be dragged back there twice in a month to see a "chick flick"

Actually she's gone with my daughter to all the midnight showings (Harry Potter, the last Twilight, etc.) so I'm guessing they'll go to that one too.

I went to watch SATC2 on the day it came out, and I thought it was AWFUL!

I am actually a big fan of SatC, but though the film was a poor display.

Also, the whole film was out of focus, meaning my girlfriend ended up with a headache, but did get my money back, so that sweetened the sh*tness of the film :)

Yes - I got to sleep in my own bed and miss it

Considering the hype, when I finally did see it on DVD it was probably the most terrible movie I've ever seen - although that's partly my fault. I watched all the spoofs on it before I saw it, so they were only further amplified when they happened for real. Just a bad, bad movie

I rented it after hearing my sister and aunt and cousin gushing over it...and was never more bored with a movie especially one that was so hyped up as that one...

I've seen some B and C movies with better plots and acting than that piece of garbage.

It was bad - horrible acting and bad execution. I've been forced to see the second one and it was at least somewhat better, but I was so turned off by the first one that I had a hard time sitting through it.

And to think they're splitting the final movie into two parts

I felt tortured enough sitting through the preview for this when I went to see "Date Night" a month ago. I can't imagine watching this awful looking movie. My sympathies for those who had to.

Took my wife an hour away to a 10:00am showing (the only one that early within 50 miles) this morning so we'd be home in time to pick up the kids from school. And yes - it was as bad as expected. Which is surprising because I thought they'd at least be somewhat clever with the storyline - but it's like they made the movie for the sake of making it.

However, the wife is happy, which is all that matters. But I'll be skipping Twilight - all set with that

Did she enjoy it and think it was good? If so, why?

She thought it was just O.K. The fact we had a chance to go to a movie by ourselves (which almost never happens) was more or less the highlight of the day for her (and me for that matter )

I know - but it wasn't that bad. She really wanted to go and see it, so I did some digging and as I said the theater we went to had it starting at 10am, whereas all the others started at like 11:30 or 12:30. Since it's over 2 1/2 hours long (not including the previews) had that not been the case we wouldn't have been able to see it because we wouldn't have gotten back in time to pick the kids up from school. We got back just before 2:00pm, so it worked out really well.
