Gordon seemed to have quick release and quick read. The tackles opposite Uesch and Anae particularly Alex Taylor didn't play well today.
Many people like Fromm but I wasn't impressed in the games I saw. I did like Gordon yesterday but afraid he might be Will Grier/Ryan Finley in the NFL. There was a QB in the East West game that had some low round possibility. I think his name was James Morgan from FAU. He had the build, reasonably quick release and strong arm but inconsistent. Half of his throws were awesome, the other half not so much. Anyway for now Gordon and Morgan(?) remain my choices for a low developmental. Didn't care for Jordan Love yesterday, not sure why, just looked a little helter skelter to me. Felt bad for Hurts, incredible pressure.Thought on Anthony Gordon?
He looks like a good pick in the middle rounds to conpete with Stidham.
I don’t understand the love for Love (Pardon the pun) by a lot of people. I’m not seeing what others are seeing, thinking he will be drafted in the 1st round. Some are even saying he’s a poor man’s Mahomes, which I REALLY don’t see. He was WAY better as a sophomore, maybe that’s what people are looking at. Didn’t really impress me. He lost his entire offense, fav target & some coaches I believe. Can't ignore how that would effect a QB so you have to take that into account but he didn't play that great at the same time.I don’t understand the love for Love (Pardon the pun) by a lot of people. Mahomes talk is foolish.
Joshua Uche looks like Von Miller.. has very good bend and speed and has beaten his guy at ease at times
in my mind, depending on what happens with van noy and Collins, he could really help us fill the void,
much like winovich, he is not nfl strong, needs a ton of work in a pro weight room but has good motor.
much like winovich, he probably hits the rookie wall around game 6.
Can he be effective controlling edge runs? If we believe that he can, then we need to draft him.
If anyone really watched him, he played a lot of hero ball. Tried to make things happen that just weren't there. I don't care about that stuff so much bc it fits with losing the whole offense, familiarity with coaches.I think nine starters from last year’s offense left. I am not high on this guy at all. But I do agree not all 17 interceptions last season were his fault.
I agree somewhat that the situations were similar, but there is a HUGE difference between 5 ints (Stidham) and 17 ints (Love). Both players had better years 2 years prior to the draft,If anyone really watched him, he played a lot of hero ball. Tried to make things happen that just weren't there. Like Tua he stared down a lot of targets at times. One read, stuck on making it work when that target/concept was dead. He just didn't have the help around him to bail him out or options that Tua had.
He's an interesting eval. Most teams focus on what a player can do as opposed to what they can't. We completely disregarded Stidham's last year and I think that's how most will look at him this year.
