Quick walkthrough with players in shorts and tees. but some interesting stuff going on.
The most interesting was seeing Edelman at QB for a option type play. I was watching the D and could have missed a rep or two but when I turned back to the O Edelman was the QB running an option type play.
The STs was working on some situational stuff. Onside kicks and recoveries and what do if they fake the onside and kick deep. They did a drill on what to do if the snap is bad and the holder scambled yelling fire and the eligible recievers had to get out in route.
well thats it for my camp visits.
Here are some final thoughts.
The secondary should be good this year highlighted by Meriweathers rise to stardom. He IMO is the best DB we have. Bodden has looked good and the rooks and sophmore guys seem to be developing highlighted by Whilhite. Wish I could have seen more of Springs but we know what he is capable of.
Edelman looks good and should he continue to shine he will be getting reps in the regular season. And when you add him to Galloway and Lewis, who have each had there moments and at other times seemed invisible, we should have some nice options to complement the studs in Welker and Moss.
There are tons of options in the front 7 and the mixing and matching should be heavy. Differents looks as far as 4-3, 3-4, and nickle and dime packages but also different skill sets in a lot of the players.
Having Brady back is awsome and seeing his drive and competativeness up close is always fun. Until Walter gets comfortable and shows more I think O'Connell is QB2.
RBs looks to be an awsome group and if they stay healthy they could do some special things as a group.
The O-line has all the same starters and I think they all keep their spots. Having 2 guys in Hochstein and Vollmer that can back up all spots on the line should be a great asset.
Thats it guys. A few weeks until the season starts :rocker: and Cutdowns and 3 games to occupy the time. And of course this board.
