Canton Bound?
If Vince Wilfork retires from football, Steve Balestrieri believes Canton should be the veteran defensive tackle's next stop.

Russia 'simulates' nuclear attack on Poland

Russia has provoked outrage in Poland by simulating an air and sea attack on the country during military exercises.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...ussia-simulates-nuclear-attack-on-Poland.html

The armed forces are said to have carried out "war games" in which nuclear missiles were fired and troops practised an amphibious landing on the country's coast.

The Russian air force practised using weapons from its nuclear arsenal, while in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, which neighbours Poland, Red Army forces stormed a "Polish" beach and attacked a gas pipeline.

The operation also involved the simulated suppression of an uprising by a national minority in Belarus – the country has a significant Polish population which has a strained relationship with authoritarian government of Belarus.

Karol Karski, an MP from Poland's Law and Justice, is to table parliamentary questions on Russia's war games and has protested to the European Commission.

Simply trying to show that Russia is still relevant in this age...classic "hey, look at me" situation.

If he wanted to do that, he should have just made himself a football jersey with the hammer and sickle being the symbol on it (I'm thinking a red one as well) then called for a nationally televised press conference, walked out in the jersey, turned around, and pointed to the name "Russia" on the back of it Rob Van Dam style to let everyone know what's up.

EDIT: If he really wanted to drive the point home, he could have screamed a cool catch phrase while doing it. Something like, "IT'S RUSSIA TIME!" or "WHO WANTS TO GET HAMMERED!?". Everyone would know that Russia is back then.

True...but that doesn't showcase their "military might" like war games do.

Just ask China and Taiwan, they go through the same thing every few years whenever China gets new equipment or Taiwan trains with the US Navy...

He can always do a bad Photoshop of a nuclear missile in his hands while he's pointing at the back of his jersey.

Nah, if he is going to photoshop anything it would be more hair on his head and more height...

Then again he could be overcompensating for those things there with all the military posturing
