RIP Tim Wakefield

Damn. Sorry to hear that.

RIP Wake... Always had fun watching you pitch in Fenway...

Gut punch. Very very sad news.

Damn, had to deal with the deaths of my childhood sports heroes for a while. No my sports heroes of my adult years are passing. The man loved being a Red Sox. No one deserved 2004 more than him after what happened in 2003. Him with Pesky after ‘04 still gets me in the feels. RIP and prayers for his family and friends.

Wow, this is terrible news! I'm so sorry to hear it. My condolences to his family, friends and fans.

Just awful, cancer sucks!!!!

Wake was always there whenever the Sox needed him. Class act, great guy!

Absolutely Class A guy on and off the field, feel bad for his kids and his wife is also going through her illness right now too. Sad day for Sox Nation.

Cancer sucks, Tim was the best.

While I still think Schilling is an ass for revealing the information against Wakefield's wishes, I hope that Wakefield at least had one more opportunity to see how much we loved him.
