If you saw it on the internet it must be true
The proffession he's bashing is one that glorifies the type of gang violence that resulted in him getting shot.
Are we just going to have a memorial thread for every somewhat-celebrity on here now?
Not to be a dick but we have a general forum and some of the "OT: RIP" threads I see on here, be it a modern rapper or as mentioned, some old actor no one under the age of 30 has ever heard of, really don't warrant being posted anywhere but there.
Tmz just said he was a Crip.
Who just made a video with a few bloods.
He came from South LA, so not much of a surprise he was affiliated in his past.
His more recent developments involved purchasing commercial space in his neighborhood to develop STEM access programs for the youth and promotion of role models beyond sports and entertainment figures.
The craziest thing is he got killed in his own neighborhood, after having a history of being such an uplifting figure for the community. There is huge outrage in his community over the black on black violence that took out one of the most positive but also most influential people. Some of the phone calls to the LA radio station this morning were heart breaking.
i never heard of him. im not a rap fan. rip
for me its the 70s and the 90s
Yeah he seemed like he was trying to make a positive difference which is why his death is such a shame. Anyone taking the kind of steps he was taking to get the black community in this country on their feet is alright by me.
Either gang could have done it.
They have a suspect.
Eric Holder. I cant tell if he is a Blood or a Crip.
If its true that he was a Crip, you cant just act on your own without the blessings from the hierarchy that rule the gang. Meeting with the police seems like it would not go over well at all. Even if you knew a few gang members in the rap business the optics are terrible.
From what I’m understanding, and granted this is the Internet, he was affiliated with them in ways in his past and his past just simply caught up with him. I’m not sure how affiliated he was with them nowadays.
Suspect ID’d In Nipsey Hussle Murder Case
Thought the rumor was that once a gang member always a gang member.
I believe Nipsey was in a position that transcended gang colors and made it to a spot where he was representing the city of LA.
“The Game” is another artist who came to prominence with a gang affiliation, the bloods, and was a very good friend of Nipsey, a crip, and one of the most disturbed over the killing of Nipsey.
Classical gang theory would say such an instance is impossible, yet here it is proven to be so.
