Report: Matt Patricia indicted but not tried for sexual assault in 1996
Patricia and the Lions have issued a statement denying it happened.

How did this not come out when he was on the Patriots staff? The story should have broken right before the Superbowl. Then we would have had an excuse for our defense. We could have said Patricia was distracted.

You're not (me neither) one of the 100 or so that decides what is news.

Yeah it is, since the report came out last night. No one here is siding with the alleged victim, Andy, so don’t worry.

It’s not news that someone was accused and the accuser dropped the charges. I’m not sure why you felt it necessary to put it here.

There was enough evidence for a grand jury to indict him. This isn’t the case of a woman filing a police report and later saying she didn’t want to press charges. I’m not saying Patricia did anything btw...

And as they say you can indict a ham sandwich. The “evidence” was most likely the complaint and nothing backing it up.
Um yeah it pretty much is that.

You are accountable for every minute of your life ...
Patricia will need to lay the entire story out and go from there ...

That is totally unfair to the woman Andy ... you don't even know who she is to assault her character.
None of us knows her or the facts of the case at this point.
How about the woman gets to be heard if she so wishes before we judge.

A grand jury indictment, whenever it happened and regardless of outcome, is news.

Report: Robertweathers and others questioned in probe of stolen vodka in March of 1993.

Robertweathers, then 21, and XXXXX University friends Mr. Pickles, 21 Mr. Johnson, 22 and Big John Stud 21, were questioned by police when a man and woman accused them of stealing their bottle of Grey Goose vodka . They allegedly burst into the hotel room of the nerdy couple while on spring break at Miami Beach, Florida and “took turns drinking the entire bottle.”

The case eventually was dismissed that evening, because the alleged victims could not prove the men had drank the bottle as “it was empty and not in their possession.”

    The case remains unsolved.

It is news, because there is a chance he could lose his job. We do not know the facts and the woman is presumably still around. The atmosphere is different in 2018 - and presumption of innocence in these matters no longer applies.

No way this happened. After watching last years defense, it's clear Patricia is incapable of assaulting anything.

It happened 22 years ago. When would you like her to be heard?
How am I assaultung her character?

We don't know what Patricia disclosed to the Patriots and Lions organizations. So, that's an important piece of the puzzle when it comes to his future viability.

That said, an indictment is more than an accusation but less than a conviction. But, it's serious.

If he concealed the fact of an indictment, then he's probably done. If he told those organizations about it and the organizations knew what had happened and had made their own judgment about it, then he can probably survive if the facts fall out the way he explained them.

Question: so, the Detroit press broke this story but our genius cub reporters at the Globule and Horrald never found it? Also, I'm amazed that the Tabloids in New York, alleged home of two of the Pats most hated rivals in New Jersey, missed it as well.

The lions have already come out in support of him.
