Since no one else apparently cares the Red Sox did quite well following the first series. The only bad game was with Wakefield. Between himself and Bard they have a ton to get on the same page about also David Riske still bothers me coming out of the pen. Sure he has the gas but hitters are crushing him.

Other than that Schilling and Beckett both had superb performances. The signs that make you think that this team possibly has two reliable aces.

Thoughts?

the best teams are a lil better this yr than last
last yr the world series was really up for grabs for anyone

this yr im kinda scared of oakland and cleveland
but we def have a legitimate shot

what im really excited about is (prob next yr) having these three starters at the top of the rotation: beckett, papelbon, lester
all young
beckett-nasty
paps-should be at least a solid starter
lester-could be lights out lefty

The only problem i have with Lester is that he gives up a ton of HR's. Other than that he's lights out.

I was sick and busy this past week...opening week but now I'm caught up I'll be a somewhat regular here in our Red Sox Forum. I watch and/or listen to just about every game all year. I especially like the late games because i watch while working on my desk.

Tings are looking good so far...it's early and I made a post on my thoughts to date without going overboard...too ealy to get crazy.
