Randy Responds

You know, as a woman, I hate to say this but I can't even defend that comment. I've seen many females pull this stuff in my lifetime, and the guy doesn't have to be famous for them to do it.

What's worse is the damage it does to the women with legit claims. The first thing I thought was she was just looking for money !

I think if a woman makes a claim that turns out to be obviously false, they should suffer the penalty that the person she accused was facing.

Sorry I went off topic

Don't know if it's been mentioned here yet, but Jim Rome just said "coming up, that Randy Moss story". Faaaaaaccccccccccckkkkkkkk.
Tell us what he says. And don't mind the media. Screw them. We've been through spy gate. This can't be half as bad.

Re: Anyone feel bad for Moss?

Let's just hope this all ends well for Randy and she is indeed guilty of trying to extort her old "friend".

I do feel bad for him, as I sit here, giving him the benefit of the doubt.

It does seem to me he will be exonerated of any wrong doing.

However, we will know more, I am sure before much more time passes.

We should figure out a way to get a message of support and appreciation of his play this year out to him - I bet he could use a boost. Any ideas??

Re: Anyone feel bad for Moss?

I think anyone who is a good people reader realizes this is some money hungry girl seeking a big payday. Why not file criminal charges right away if you were truly abused? Why not contact the police? Oh no, you have your attorney threaten Randy for weeks, riiiight. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but look at how Randy first gave a statement, probably at the urging of his attorney not to answer questions, and then look at how Randy came back to field questions because he just couldn't help it.

Re: Anyone feel bad for Moss?

Well, he has those weekly chats on therealrandymoss.com, his personal website, so I think maybe one of the mods or someone could write a letter from the patsfans.com messageboard showing our appreciation for him this season.

We have an affidavit and a press comment response by Moss. Have you people not learned by now that judging before the facts generally makes you look like idiots? Duke University found that out.

It's a non-issue as to who's telling more of the truth right now, because nobody here has a clue as to that answer. Insulting either the woman or Moss is idiotic, and that's a kind word choice.

i feel bad for him because it is the right time. I hope he will be able to play in a SB game.

Re: Anyone feel bad for Moss?

Moss totals on Sunday

3 TD's
250 yards

I personally don't think anyone here should rush to judgement in anyway. Nobody here knows the woman, nobody here knows Moss personally and no one knows anything about the incident. It's as foolish, in my mind to rush to defend Moss as it is to rush to judge him on this. All he asked was that nobody judge him until the facts come out and our legal system is supposed to do just that. It seems that if you are a Randy Moss fan, you are going rush to defend him, despite not knowing anything about this beyond the vague statement by Moss and the vague details about the woman/incident. If you are a Pats hater you are going to use this to hate Randy and judge him for it. Either way, I think neither side has any merit whatsoever right now.

Re: Anyone feel bad for Moss?

Yes, I do feel bad for Randy Moss. I've grown to love what this man has brought to the Patriots. We've never had a receiver of his caliber, and it's certainly been a treat to watch him.

I believe he has been through a huge growing up process since he's been here. As most men will agree, we tend to grow up in our late 20's & early 30's. For whatever reason, women grow up much sooner than us men. But the good thing is, I highly doubt this will derail Randy and he'll continue to have the support of his team mates.

When did these alleged events take place?

Just got on today and have only read the initial article from last night.

Randy:

I’ve never laid my hands on a woman. So for you to say battery, now I think if there was such a thing in the court system as an accident, then that’s what I’m guilty for. But for you to say I physically, or in an angry manner – whatever the manner may be – put my hands on a woman physically, I’ve never done that.”

So he's guilty of this "accident", but it was not in an angry manner? What does that mean, he tied her up when they were having sex? You have to admit, it sounds like that!

MSNBC is reporting

..after allegedly seriously inurying a woman in Broward County,....She said they have been in an “intimate relationship since 1997” and also said that Moss has guns and has “a drug or alcohol problem.”

wow. she's coming with guns blazing..I can't but wonder if she was seriously injured, and Moss was at fault, why there was no criminal charges?

I agree. Reading into anything on either side is just wild speculation right now.

Rome talking about it. There was an accident, didn't say what kind, she got hurt, her lawyer called his lawyer looking for money. If they don't get $$ before the next game, they're going public with it. Randy's been wrestling with this for a couple of days. Rome jumped on Randy's saying "check my resume" and Rome went over his not so great resume (Randy maybe shouldn't be saying his resume is clean, but I think Randy meant he has no history with any assault/battery/women problems, but he does have other baggage). That was it.

Remember Crystal Gail Mangum!

Moss has too much integrity: most people would have just let themselves be victimized by extortion. How could a friend do this to him?

Don't rush to judgment people. Our mantra this week is 'Crystal Gail Mangum.' He has been convicted of nothing. He is fighting it, which means he is likely innocent.

I don't think so. I think we'll see a lot more of the ol' Pats dink-and-dunk. No way the Chargers are going to give up the big play. Plus, Comatarie's going to be all over him all night.
