the main thing the original poster stated that gives me cause to pause and have some concern is the 20 mph wind.

all of Brady's "bad" games have come under heavy wind conditions. It isn't snow or rain or cold that bothers him; but wind certainly does.

SDs ultimate weakness last year was their DBs. Since they brought Cromartie to the starter position they have really solidified that. So wind plus a strong D could net a TO (or 2 god forbid) and a possible score.

Is that enough....... I doubt it. we still have BB. And even if our D has shown susceptibilitty to runs and piss poor tackling at times - they have shown an ability to take it up a notch for a half, quarter or final 6 minutes of the game when required. So we have that going for us too.

logic all tells me we should kill these guys between the injuries and the flights back and forth and that we get an extra day of rest having played on Sat and that we have players we didnt have back then.

......Regardless I am with you brother. Just nervous as heck til Sunday 630pm when, hopefully, we know they are going to the big dance.

This message board is addictive. I really should be asleep.

For all the reasons stated, we don't need to worry about our Pats. They can play average for them, and beat a crippled Chargers team playing their best.

How nervous would you be if you were a SD fan and Moss was limping around, Maroney was doubtful, and Cassell was probably going to start?
Pats have everything in their favor. Only the weather could, I repeat, could make it so The Pats strengths may be netralized.

I'm not buying all the injury talk. All will play.

Go back and let's play the Lawyer Milloy presser from the Friday before the AFC Title Game in Pittsburgh. You can bet the Chargers know everybody on the planet thinks they're going to get blown out. That it's going to be cold. That the Patriots are undefeated and the road is paved out for them.

This is an emotional game. The Chargers went into Indy and did the unthinkable last week. What's to say they can't do it again.

This is a one score game. 3-7 points. If had the money to throw around, I'd throw it all on the Chargers with that huge spread.

Players say they don't pay attention. It's the biggest lie in all of sport.

I don't get this "unthinkable" logic. I was by no means surprised to see the San Diego Classies win. I've been calling them the most dangerous team for the Patriots to play all season long, even after the blowout.

If I could figure that out, I'm sure BB already knew about the problems this team will pose to the Patriots. As for emotion, the Patriots have been dealing with teams playing their very hardest since at least the Colts matchup.
