A ******* bear crushed my wife's garden because his dumbass thought it was a good idea to sun under a swaying tree and then ran like hell when a limb snapped and fell on him.

    Stupid bears...

Glad this past week is overwith!

The whole thing yesterday turned out to be nothing to laugh at, though I tried.

I shouldda posted the last in the nothing thread.

I once saw a beautiful butterfly flitting about. I stayed really still as I watched it. Finally it landed on my arm for me to admire.

I crushed the life out of it, of course.

Its October and I cant get motivated for Halloween. I am trying, but no deal. I usually do up my yard pretty good. Jumpers, animatronics, a bit of holographics, fog machines, axworthy ghosts, the works. Takes me weeks to set up. I didn't do it this year. I just dont really feel it since the move. I might get 40 kids now on a good year. I used to get lots. I used to buy over two hundred pounds of candy a year. It was fun. Out here, notsomuch.

My garage sits full of totes. A couple of corn stalks, some pumpkins...

I was thinking about it, and one of my big issues with Halloween out here is freakin DAYTIME trick or treat. Half, no, most of my props are shot. No holographics in daylite. I have a haunted graveyard. Duh. And half the tricks of how I do it are visible in the daylight. Like the braided fishing line on the axworthys. 3-5? Are you kidding me? how about 6-8 like it used to be.

If anyone is interested in having a really cool haunt, spirit halloween sells cool stuff at a fraction of the price of the air powered stuff. And check out the Monster list of Halloween props on line. Do it yourself stuff there. I built my graveyard fence and columns/arch from them. I also used them for my axworthys. But I used a washing machine motor and a gear reducer to take the weight of the flying banchies.

Its worth it if you live in the right neighborhood in the right town.

I dont know whats up, but I cannot log in and then view the political forum only. I get a windows has stopped working box, then I cancel and the webpage expires. Every time...something afoot there in the way of spyware or adware or other add ons which get the hammer of the gods dropped by my servers here at work?

The McRib and the Fish Fillet. I tried both and threw both out after one bite.

The one and only original Filet O' Fish is back? I used to like those. Never a fan of the McRib.
