Notice anything about the NL playoff teams??????

Colorado….. 2007
Philly ……. 1915
St. Louis …. 2004
Dodgers ….. 1916 (Brooklyn/LA...same thing)

[FONT=&quot]Yup the Sox have beaten every one of them in the World Series…and lost to the Cards twice (’46 and ’67)……..

Hopefully they get the opportunity to beat one of these teams again....

Let's get even more kooky:

LA Angels.....2008 (and others)
NY Yankees.....2004
Minnesota.....1967 (last 2 games of regular season)

That leaves Detroit as the one team we have no winning history against, and if you throw in 1972, it makes it worse.

That said, I am a Tiger fan tomorrow as I think they have a better chance against the Yankees than the Twins do.

You mean Aparicio tripping as he rounded third base costing them a game when they finished 1/2 game behind Detroit in a strike-shortened year? Nah, we don't remember those things.....do we?
Had Detroit lost Sunday or if they do today it would be a mini-Phillies '64 collapse having lost 4 of the last 5 to fail to make the playoffs when it was shoo-in just a week ago...

You're right that Detroit with that pitching staff has a better chance against NY than Minn....much better
