If I'm a runner on first I'm taking off on a pitcher when the clock is near 0. He'll be paying more attention to the clock than whoever is on base.

If I'm a runner on first I'm taking off on a pitcher when the clock is near 0. He'll be paying more attention to the clock than whoever is on base.

All the rule changes should increase base-stealing, which for me is the most exciting part of the game. Hit and run. Those are the things that made the game fun to watch. Sitting around waiting for a guy to homer is passive, boring baseball.
This should make offenses more aggressive. And hallelujah, speed up the game. Baseball finally got something right
