Hey I realize this isn't worthy of its own thread, but I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can look at the situation under which Brady and Manning threw each of their 50 and 49 TDs in a season, respectively. The reason why is that I keep seeing this come up in arguments but as usual, no one uses actual facts, they just make vague accusations:

1) The total number of TDs thrown by each QB within the 5 yard line, broken down by yard line (e.g. 4 at the 1 yard line, 3 at the 2 etc.)

2) The total number of minutes played by Manning and Brady in the 4th quarter

3) The number of TDs each QB scored while up by 14 pts or more

I wanted to originally compile these stats by myself but unfortunately I lack the resourcefulness to even know where to look for this. And even if the stats are skewed towards one or the other QB, I still don't think it makes one or the other's less significant (if Brady played more 4th quarter minutes and finished games throwing TDs more in goal line situations it may be one of the bigger reasons the Pats are 17-0 and still in the playoffs). Either way, I really want to break it down so I can see if the Brady-haters even have an accurate perception of when and how Brady threw his TDs v. Mannings.

nice thanks. Didn't even think to check ESPN, didn't realize it was that detailed.

My favorite might be the one on the bottom where is has QB rating vs. different number of pass rushers and Brady is over 100 against every type of rush.

you know the best category among those stats??? Brady performance vs manning performance IN LOSS lol

Manning threw 3 TDs when up by 22+ pts, Brady threw 4. I love that running up the score BS.

Thanks, really good work. I don't know how I missed these when the whole "running up the score" thing was going on.

Basically now, I'm seeing people saying that Brady was less impressive than Manning because he scored more garbage time TDs, played more minutes, threw short TDs, threw TDs from goal line situations that Indy would have run it in from. All of which is basically BS though.

Yup revisionist history.

Just point out how many of Peyton's games were played in a nice, temperature controlled dome.

Exactly, in 2004, only one of PM's games was played in temps < 40 degrees and 9 of them were in domes. If Tom played in this type of warm, cozy and cushy temperature controlled environments this year, he would have thrown 65 touchdowns.

I don't see it. What was the temp when you played Skins? What was the score? How many TD's did Tommy throw? How many more would he have thrown in a Dome?

I really couldn't give a crap about this record, but you are just a straight up dumbass.

55 degrees with winds 15 mph, gusts to 20 mph. What exactly was your point? Oh yeah, I remember; Paytons 49 TD's are better than Brady's 50 even though Payton played 56% of his games in 72 degrees and no wind.

The POINT is that Brady maxed out in quite a few games. How many MORE points did you want them to score versus the Skins? Why didn't he throw more in game 1 versus Jets? Two bad weather games guys. That's it. Impressive year though, yes. I am not trying to take that away. What I am defending is the down playing of PM's accomplishment, that's all. 50 is 50, he's got the record, congrats.

Okay great. How many bad weather games did Brady play in this season? I watched most Pats games. Um the Jets game and maybe the Baltimore game.

What other games were there with wind, freezing cold and snow or rain?

Stop with the weather crap.

how many td's did he throw in those 2 games and what's his average for the rest of the games?

Not once in the 4th Qtr.

what game did Brady throw a TD when up 22 pts in the 4th quarter? Manning scored 7 TDs in the fourth Quarter and had 3 INT. Coincidentally he also had 3 INT when up by 22+ which means that he tried to run up the score and failed 3 times.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeasssssssse, tell us there is no difference in playing in New England vs playing in Indy's dome. Just punch out the keys for yourself so we all can read it and have a good laugh at your expense.
