I've been researching the draft for months now, and today i finally sat down and did my annual first rd mock, this however is the first time ive posted it on here
(note: ive looked over every teams depth charts etc to determine who would fit and of course who would be best value)
Here goes:

1-Houston: Reggie Bush
2-New Orleans: D'Brick Ferguson (protect drew brees, they have no place for mario williams)
3-tennessee: Vince Young (i think its the wrong qb, but this is who theyll take)
4-Jets: Mario Williams (really don't want to see this, he will wreak havoc in the afc east)
5-Packers: AJ Hawk
6-49ers-traded to Arizona for 10th overall and 3rd and 4th rd picks in 06 draft: Matt Leinart
7-Oakland: Vernon Davis (this could be cutler)
8-Buffalo: Winston Justice
9-Detroit: Michael Huff (the next ed reed)
10-San Francisco (from zona): Jimmy Williams
11-St Louis (I had trouble with this pick): Broderick Bunkley
12-Cleveland: (pissing their pants) Haloti Ngata
13-Baltimore: (also pissing their pants) Jay Cutler
14-Philadelphia: (while minnesota throws some chairs) Ernie Sims
15-Denver: Laurence Maroney
16-Miami: Chad Greenway
17-Minnesota: Manny Lawson
18-Dallas: Jason Allen
19-San Diego: Chad Jackson
20-Kansas City: Tye Hill
21-New England: Antonio Cromartie (not too many times can you get a shutdown corner at 21, and the pats jump on it-value, not need, thats why they dont take carpenter)
22-San Francisco: Kamerion Wimbley
23-Tampa Bay: Donte Whitner
24-Cincinnati: Leonard Pope
25-Giants: (got some help from my giant fan roomate on this one as i couldnt decide between ryans/holmes/williams)Demeco Ryans
26-Chicago: Santonio Holmes
27-Carolina: Bobby Carpenter
28-Jax: Deangelo Williams (ecstatic he fell to them)
29-Jets: Jonathan Joseph (mangini wants to add some playmakers in the secondary)
30-Indy: (picking best rb left) Lendale White
31-Seattle: Ko Simpson
32-Pitt: Pat Watkins

This is a guessing game. It seems like insiders are saying Mario Williams will go #1, and amazingly that Donte Whitner may actually be drafted by Buffalo at #8. In three years, Marv Levy may prove to be a genius... or not. I can't see Minnesota taking a DE in round one since they took Udeze and that other Wisconsin DE last year. That seems like folly of Detroit/WR proportions. I wonder if Buffalo will go OT in the top ten again after the Williams debacle... I can't see Baltimore taking another project QB. I think they will acquire McNair and keep Boller as a back up.

Cromartie isn't a "shutdown" corner. He's a NICKEL Back, who has 1 college career start under his belt, but has tons of measurables and potential.

at first he would be depth
but i think in a yr or two he could be a premier shutdown corner

1-Houston: Reggie Bush
Don't you hate when your mock is wrong before the dratf even starts LOL
