LOL. That is all.
"I would not be surprised if..." is basically a mediot version of the kind of ****posts you see here on a daily basis.
If the Patriots went for Kaepernick, that would surprise me greatly, if only because Kaepernick won't keep his mouth closed about his politics and would represent a massive distraction.
Well, if you wanted to bring in a guy to fill the GOATs shoes, knowing that he was going to be compared to TB and, likely, pale by comparison... that would be the guy.
Guy just wanted 20 million to play in the AAF.
I don’t think he genuinely wants to play football at this point.
No kidding. Being a professional martyr is pretty lucrative work these days, and nowhere near the physical hardship or actual effort of any kind involved.
He'd be the perfect victory formation quarterback. He enjoys taking utterly pointless knees.
Apparently people don’t realize that Kaepernick is already 31. Brady’s intended timeline has the Patriots starting somebody new in 2022 or 2023, when Kaepernick will be 34 or 35.
But victory formation knees arn't pointless. each one takes 40 precious seconds off the clock.
From the Xs and Os standpoint this makes no sense. Just like with a lot of things the sports media spews, the intent behind making these comments had absolutely nothing to do with pure football.
Very true. So each one has about 40x the point he was trying to make.
That's just BS - The reason Kap wouldn't be a good fit with NE is plain and simple. This isn't the kind of offense that fits his skill sets. He needs to be more of an RPO type system. KC, Carolina, Baltimore would all be better football fits. Politics would have NOTHING to do with any decision they make. It would be STRICTLY football.
Kaepernick hasn't played football in three years! He has lost a ton of weight and would basically break like a twig if he was ever put back in. Most of his success was off his running ability. So he is also a bad scheme fit for the Pats. He will never take another snap in the NFL.
Kaepernick asked the AAF league for $20 million. The guy is delusional.

The problem isn't the politics per se. The problem is not being able to shut up about it and just go to work. Offense can be adjusted based on the personnel we have. But Kaep is simply not a Patriots type player off the field.
I judge that based on the fact that he turned the entire 49ers organization into a media circus to try and make a point he realistically didn't need to make. Not even the Bruins' Tim Thomas went that far, and even winning a Championship didn't prevent Tim Thomas from being shipped out of Boston based almost entirely on his politics becoming a distraction.
Time spent in political controversy is not time spent playing, thinking, eating, breathing, and sleeping football, and that doesn't strike me as a sacrifice Bill is willing to make.
I think that if all the crazy « takes », this one might be the craziest.
How would cris carter know the krafts are fond of krapernick yet no other human has ever said that?
In any event there is one thing missing in this argument. Krapernick sucks at playing QB.
That's true. And it's a worthy point. Distractions are much easier to tolerate when the player responsible for them is very good at his job.
But even that didn't save Tim Thomas.
Separate names with a comma.
