Good point brought up today on WEEI, if you could substitute the pats defense for any defense in the league, would you?

The TEAM is 17 - 0 man.

Why would you even consider effing up the karma by changing something affecting them now at crunch time?

We play the hand we've been dealt which has done pretty well so far.

No. It performed as well as any team in the regular season and its better built for the post-season than any other defense.

Ya I agree with you, I’ve been getting a little frustrated with our run defense but when it really boils down to it from top to bottom we have one of the most solid defenses in the league.

I agree with the 17-0 sentiments. Don't want to tempt fate.

Though from a purely hypothetical standpoint, I don't think I would anyway. There are certainly groups I would probably take over ours, but overall I think we're just as solid as anyone out there.

Plus I'm assuming this means that the defenses are all 100% healthy for the sake of comparison. I'll certainly take our D with a healthy Rosie Colvin anyday.
