Aaron Rodgers wants a new contract?

Will GB be able to be below the salary cap without Rodgers signing a new contract? A restructure (technically a new contract) would yield savings of $13M. How much could be freed up by a new contract?

TO BE CLEAR, everyone is attacking Rodgers for wanting a new contract. And, GB is unlikely to be able to enter the new season WITHOUT a new contract.

I haven't followed the cap details. Is it correct that the Packers can't trade Rodgers as that would be a far worse dead cap hit for their cap ? Sounds like he took their goodwill 3 years ago of a lot of upfront $ when he had no leverage and is now being a bit of a **** having leverage now.

Anyone think there's a chance he comes here? I'm not sure we have enough capital to trade for him but we do have the money. Bill might be feeling desperate to get back to the big game if Brady wins.
