Caught 30 for 30 today.

Like Bill Parcells, Ron Meyer grows on you over time.

He did not pretend to be in the intellectual class of Chuck Fairbanks (very few indeed are).

And, John Hannah had years of frustration with that ownership leading up to the famous chase of Ron around the practice field.

The fact is, Meyer brought Scar here, and we should be forever grateful for that.

And Ron made it clear he wanted us to get Elway. Irsay [train wreck] did not want to trade within the division, but Ron also was not in favor of drafting Eason. He correctly pointed out Tony's lack of toughness, for one thing. "I was the head coach and I was not involved in any way whatsoever in the drafting process." Sound familiar? I wouldn't have minded swiping Marino out of Shula's clutches, but that of course would have spelled the end for Steve Grogan in the 80's.
