Parrot taken into custody by police in Brazil for trying to warn drug dealers of raid
I hope our "team" parrot is free and doing well.
Too soon for the Dead Parrot sketch?
I love the part where once in custody he reserved his right to remain silent.
Are those feathers we see in the corners of your mouth?
That story is bizarre. But parrots are known for "sounding the alarm" and taking action. They behave like dogs in lots of ways. My bird (Tunie) always squawks at the garbage truck when it empties a nearby dumpster, and zooms like a bat out of hell to the front door whenever someone rings the doorbell. If he sees passersby walking down the street he loudly whistles "Yoo-hoo!" I didn't teach him that, no idea where he picked it up.
A friend of mine has one that can imitate the phone ringing.
