Tell me about it, the first two are just under an hour long and thankfully the last 4 are 80~ minutes each, with episode 4 being the shortest of the bunch at 78 minutes.

I enjoyed it all the same. But I don’t think we needed 5 minutes of The unsullied marching into Winterfell or to watch her and Jon riding dragons if the episode was going to be 54 minutes long.

That’s exactly what I said to my wife in terms of it feeling like a Disney movie, and I’ve never seen the flick that you reference, here.

I enjoyed the episode, definitely a bit of a set-piece moving but that was to be expected. Cool that we didn't see anything of the NK armies.

Extra cool with the ending. It's like when you're walking around in a store and bump into a girl you had an ugly break up with but in this case the girl was an 8 year old who saw you banging your sister and by ugly break up I mean you tried to kill her.

That dragon flight was pretty significant though. Proved Jon is the King.

Then wouldn’t Dany knows he’s a Targaryen? I think there needs to be a scene where every character reads the *SPOILERS* synopsis to catch them up. The information reveal to each character is a little tedious. Let’s move this thing forward instead of spending an episode for Jon to find out he’s legit, Tyrion to realize he’s been duped by Cersei, Jamie to find out Bran’s still alive, Sam to find out his parents are dead, and apparently (according to the preview) next episode Dany to find out Jamie killed her psycho dad (after he shows up). As viewers we already know this stuff, so it’s kind of a let down. Gimme some more inside info or move the plot line...

Totally random but I've started watching Friends and Seinfeld for the first time. Primarily out of a desire for nostalgia even though I didn't watch them when they were airing. Just a few episodes here and there.

I'm pretty impressed with Seinfeld. Even sober I think a lot of the stuff, so far, has held up pretty well. The 'pony' comment and subsequent funeral were fantastic.

Friends is interesting because it's funny to remember the 90s when it wasn't insane for three of the 20 somethings had high paying jobs and great apartments in NY.

The episode was absolutely necessary. There were too many big players in one place with too much unresolved history (Tyrion/Sansa, Arya/Jon, Dany and Jorah/Sam, etc) to unpack. My only complaint was how short it was in the broad view of there only being six episodes to conclude things with. But the episode was still great and it’s one that I think we will look back on and be thankful for as some of our favorite characters begin getting slaughtered over the next few weeks.

Friends is one of those shows I never watched when it aired but find myself watching from time to time on Netflix when I'm not in the mood for anything particular. It's probably the only show I've watched where I find myself laughing every scene.

I feel like I should tell you how it ends. Both shows. I hate being the one to do it but I believe you should save yourself the grind because the summer of fnord is going to be a letdown. On Seinfeld, Jerry and Elaine adopt twin babies, George gets the girl (Marisa Tomei) of his dreams after years of ups and downs and Kramer winds up getting movie roles. On Friends, strangely the gang all wind up in jail after a bizarre, comedic scenario where all the characters who had been on the show come back and testify to their mean-spirited and selfish ways in court based on a thread bare script.

Ok, so, I thought the individual performances were really good, especially Jon and Arya reunion. I get that there's a lot of chit they need to tell each other, but I would like to just get moving. Couple takeaways of where i think we are going:

Jamie and Cercei: one of them will kill the other. Cercei's madness is going to be on full display when she finally gets to see Jamie.

Not sure where Sansa fits in now that Littlefinger is gone. Same with Sam. His job was to tell Jon about his parentage. That's done.

    Still can't wait for Cleganebowl.

I think Arya is going to come up big in a couple of weeks. That spear that she’s asking for has a name on it. It starts with Night and ends with King.

I thought all along that Arya would kill Cercei wearing Jamie's face. Now I am not so sure. But ya, she's going to be a huge badass as this season ramps up.

Is that even a spear? It looks like a harpoon of some kind.

I was thinking it was a two handed, Darth Maul type of number. Guessing, looking at that drawing, the spear head slips into the second part, which looks an awful lot like a torch?

Side note: freaking internet is an amazing thing. Googled "Arya Spear Drawing" and there it is.
