OT: New Product Makes Throwbacks Possible

What’s crazy is it took this long for this to be picked up. I had my helmets vinyl wrapped by them in 2015 and it wasn’t new for them then.

The NFL one shell rule clearly didn’t apply to Brady this year. He switched from a speed flex at the start of the year back to a VSR4 his traditional shell.

I seem to remember there being an article that players had x number of years to switch from older, "unsafe" helmets to newer ones.. And that in doing so, they could switch helmets as needed to get to ones that met the new standards of "safety".

But Brady went back to a one deemed no longer safe. Which would be odd to be allowed.
Personally I’m not sure why he went with a speed flex over a VICIS zero1 but that is his choice.

As long as it isn't our real helmet, with our real logo on it, everybody including Kraft is good with it.

Agreed, his one man crusade has managed to make me dislike the old uniforms.

I won’t smack you with the disagree button, because it’s all fun and games, but that’s APF’s thing. It’s like Sammy’s (cat like quickness) schtick, and NEM’s (anti anyone calling offensive plays for the Pats schtick) or PFK’s post game reports, or MaineMan’s intellectual #’s based ***** slaps, and Mrs. B’s TC reports, and Joker being hyper aggressive and generally ****ing insane, or DW Toys and his drug induced trade proposals and calling everyone Cousin, or Chris in Sunnyvale always signing of as Chris in Sunnyvale. We get it Chris!!!

That’s just naming a few. It’s part of their characters on the board, and to be honest, it’s people like these that have kept me coming back all of these years.

In my opinion you are a bit 'hard with APF

it is perhaps true that he insists perhaps a little too much on this subject, but without a doubt he is a great fan of our team and to me it is likeable

sometimes it's better not to take yourself too seriously ...

as regards the subject of the discussion could also be that given the approach of 60 years of existence maybe there is some nice surprise for those (including me) that prefer the 'old' logo to the 'new' one

but now let's think of the big game coming in few hours against KC

I favor the old school logo, but that needs to be updated.. looks like it was drawn as a 7th grade art project.

I really like the matte finish of the Vikings Helmets.. wonder how that would look in Pats Blue with either insignia??

Brady could go back to Riddell VSR-4 this year, but next year he, as does every other player, have to use the "Speedflex" Helmet.
