Sorry but I didn't immediately see a place for tips on this one so asking here. How does one get that very annoying chat forum box removed or hidden from a mobile browser? Thanks so much.

That option isn't available, unfortunately. I'll make a note and I'll see if I can come up with something.

Also how to remove it from a regular browser.

Per @Delicate Genius , it is possible to do so.

See post here: Game Day Thread - Official Game Day Thread- Pats @ Texans

But I am not seeing the "settings" gears in the upper right hand corner in the screen shot in the above post? Yesterday, I was annoyed by it on my iPhone...and LOGGED out of chat. But I was unable to hide it.

Chat should be wholly separate from the GDT's.

Thanks!

The best you can do is this:

Which doesn't completely remove it, but does minimize it:

Aside from that, it's part of the forum software and isn't separate so there's no way to remove it altogether and it shows up on the board when it's active.

Following up on this - what @Delicate Genius suggested does put it into a window that isn't viewable.

However, that being said, as I did mention, I'll write something else at some point to allow people to fully disable it - which will hopefully solve the issue.
