Oh, man. That’s a shame. Hoping that she’s at peace, now.
Nothing has been announced in terms of death causation. I did read that she had been diagnosed with having bipolar disorder last year.
Hopefully it isn’t what I fear it could be.
Good and bad returns to God. I grew up with The Cranberries. Even performed some of their songs at a talent show. This is a little sobering. I’m not far off in age and it’s a good reminder that life is fleeting and to be grateful for the life I’m living. Too short to be angry at little stuff.
unfortunately due to her first 15 or 16. I'm just praying she didn't take her own life.
For those who care to know what she went through...what resdub is talking about:
Our Lady Of Sorrows - Dolores O'Riordan - Independent.ie
Her voice was inimitable. The first time I heard her, my immediate reaction was, "Oh, another singer songwriter...this one with a lilt." But after a few bars, she blows you away and there is an edge both to her voice and the music itself that transcends most of the music of that genre. Magnificent, really.
Such talent. And a tone that seemed to rise from her haunting name, "Dolores."
way more than i feel i have a right to know about anyone who doesn't confide it personally to me. i hope the author revealed it with her consent.
Great music. Great voice. Total surprise to hear on the radio. Whitney Houston, George Michael, Prince, Michael Jackson, Dolores...they didn't live very long. These were people I grew up listening to.
anyway. to the music. absolutely love the song dreams. its just so melodic.
theres a great song on the second album too called daffodil lament. my two favourites.
Put Me Down was another great one. Loved that song.
« No Need to Argue » : not as well known, but glad a few made mention.
Man, that was a shocker to read today. What a shame, way too young.
Very intimate details about her life. Pretty upsetting learning about things that happened to her as a child.
Sexual abuse towards children is a disgustingly vile thing. And you see what it does to its victims.

Ode To My Family
Favorite tune of hers. Shot in a Ireland, complete with the ubiquitous JFK pic on the wall at :27.
Thanks, Dreams my favorite off the first album. Daffodil the favorite off the second.
Love the Cranberries.... still blast the live version of Zombie on the way home to start the weekend.
RIP, so sad to hear news like this, great musician
Wow she was only 46? Love the Cranberries. I'm such a fool for em
