She's out of her league and her performance thus far proves it.

Take politics out of it, she is not qualified, period. My comments pertained to Condy Rice, nothing else, while a couple of you are intent on dragging this thread out of it s context with personal attacks.

Geez, some of you guys really need to lighten up, or find a forum somewhere else. Get out of your personal attack mode, (not you FTW) but some of the others....because i can find a hell of a lot more that should be banned than me, but first, i dont believe in banning, and i dont believe in favoritism... so perhaps some of should take your personal gripes elsewhere, IMO of course. Because its you, that start the personal attacks, that destroy this forum from what it is.

This was a Condy thread, not a "get on NEM thread" so perhaps the two of yu need to be reminded of that. Get off your personal crusades, they suck, and they destroy this great forum.

Did you or did you not, on a thread just two days ago, asks ( rhetoriclly) who she would have to perform sexual favors for to get the job?? Yes or No.

Why do you have to repeatedly have to bring politics on to the Football Forum? Why couldn't you issue an apology to Bill's Girl for what you said to her?

Just a few simple and direct questions.

I don't recall reading anything about a sexual favor.

If you want to make any accusation, I think you show proof or provide a link.

Cute mikey. You know damn well that thread was taken off the board quickly and ended up who knows where.

But, there were enough people who saw it. Now, you better run , NEM needs his bath.

Come on NEM, be a man now, admit what you said. Actually why don't you repeat what you wrote so everyone is clear.
Holy crap I can't wait till pre-season.

I, for one, have no personal grudges against either of them, as they,. apparently, have against me.... Apparently, they still can not accept truth.

You're right. I get up in the morning and say " how can I go after NEM today". "He just an innocent guy who has never done anything wrong. It will be a lot of fun to pick on him."

You nailed it.

And, also correct me if I am lwrong, but it is a well known fact that over the course of history that sexual favors have been used by females to gain positons of influence, wealth, power, etc.....

And who is to say that this woman, did or did not do the same? we really dont know, do we?

.

Your still living in the Clinton administration. You can not in all seriousness think that she performed sexual favors to be named Secretary of State? Your not that nuts, are you?

yUP, IT APPEARS THAT a couple of posters here really have a bone to pick and they love to take every opportunity to pick it that they can....

Leave your politics and chauvanism out of the Football forum NEM and I'll have no "bone" to pick with you.

But you can the count on the fact that any time you call the women members of this board "b!tches" or otherwise disparage women, I will not mince words. (And were you ever man enough to publically apologize to Bill's Girl about that? No, of course not)

And you can also count on the fact that whenever you bring politics into this board I'll call you on that as well.

Ian gave you "one last chance" after your tirade against Bill's Girl. You behaved for awhile but now it looks like you're up to your old tricks, and are getting bolder with every minute that you face no consequences.

I think you've made your position on all these issues clear. You have every intention of insulting women and promoting your politics here at every opportunity.

Its a shame that you'd insult us and Ian with your attitude.

2nd Team Getting Their First Start
No Way

If she were to become NFL Comissioner I would absolutely stop watching NFL football until she got fired. I don't want to get into politics here but that moron said, "Who could have known they would have flown planes into buildings?" When Randy Yusef was arrested in 1996 in the Phillipines he had plans to fly a plane into the CIA building. The Columbine Killers had plans to fly a plane into the Twin Towers. God she makes my blood boil.

I can see her now at the NFL podium. Condi states, "Who could have known people like watching NFL football in color? I thought black and white TV would be innovative."

I thought she would be the anti-Tagliabue. Tagliabue is a concensus builder who shuns the limelight. She, on the other hand, is a polarizing figure who, I thought, can't see enough of herself on television. You also have to question her judgement, such as when she went to NYC shopping for shoes and watching a broadway show while her native Alabama was being battered by Katrina.

What should people born in Alabama ...

We could solve this controversy by naming me commissoner. That would end this debate...or maybe create another one.

........ I will say it again, Condasleezy is a POLITICAL figure, and as soon as her name was mentioned, politics came into play..........

I apologize for starting this thread. If I thought of how you, NEM, would respond to this topic I would never have posted it.
As soon as I saw your first post I knew I overlooked you and your reaction.
I certainly did not intend this to turn into a politcal discussion. To me it was
about looking at a candidate as a possible replacement for Tags. Without
reguard to her politics I just thought a person with that much experience
negotiating would be a good candidate and found it interesting that she is
a big fan of the game.
Sorry NEM for ruffling your politcal feathers.

You should not feel responsible for NEM's inability to control himself JR4

The vast majority of other posters could discuss possible commissioner candidates without taking political cheap shots and suggesting that successful women have made their achievements through sexual favors.

There's only one person on this board who can't seem to control himself and he gets very upset when people actually call him on it.

And whether its disparaging women and breaking the rules by attempting to politicize the Football Forum, in his mind he always seems to have a justification for it.

Like NEM and many others, I do not think Condi has done a good job in Washington; therefore, I do not think she will do a good job as football commissioner. That has NOTHING to do with her politics. It has to do with her decision making and her effectiveness. I wouldn't want Madeleine Albright as football commissioner, either. .

(By the way, it was PatsNutMe who politicized this thread in post 6. NEM's first post is post 10.)

So Micky washes and you dry, that's how it's done.

I would think that we would have mod's who were fair and objective you never seem to be either.

I'm done with this, as the point was made and NEM admitted to what he did on the thread 3 days ago. You know, the one he really went over the top and then was quickly taken down to save his ass. That was the objective. Although he doen't understand that and, apparently neither do you.

Political incorrectness here:
All politics aside, and I have no idea how good a negotiator Rice is, but the fact remains - she's a chick - and NFL Commissioner is not a good place for a chick as talented as she is. There's no glass ceiling here in the NFL for women. There was one for black guys, but that's coming down for good reason. It's a league of men except for Georgia Frontierri (sp). You can pretend all you want that women can hold absolutely any position a man can (some can hold positions I never dreamed of) but this would be like making a woman the king of Saudi Arabia. The NFL is a boy's club, is there anything wrong with that? Pulling out the "gender discrimination" card is bogus, IMO.

Watch, now, Oprah will buy the Bears and Condi will be Commish, and I'll be wrong again.

I never saw that thread, PatsNutMe, but I'm not surprised if he did do that. My comment (which I softened, but you had already seen my original) was based only on this thread. Also, I was not objecting to your comment in post 6. A little politics in a post about Condi is pretty unavoidable.
