Based on a few years of rampant experience I wouldn't discount it out of hand.

You say it as though it'd be a bad thing Tuney.

    Are you insinuating that?

Really liked it. The time dilation part was awesome. The movie almost broke my subwoofer though. There were scenes where the low frequencies were insane.

No, I simply am making the observation that Jete fans have serious difficulty connecting with the opposite sex. Hence, their interest in exploring alternative "avenues."

Other than being balls and tongue deep in some strange I ask you - is there a better way to die?

One of the oldest jokes around was dying in the saddle as it was said. Former local mafia boss in New England Raymond Patriaca did indeed expire with some grunts and smiles ... some trivia of note.

The scene when he’s talking to his daughter as an old, dying woman at the end is one of those scenes that always get me misty. The others are Forrest Gump asking Jenny if Forrest Jr. is smart and Russell Crowe saying goodbye to the imaginary little girl in “A Beautiful Mind.”

I kind of agree with you. The evidence would have to be so overwhelming as to be caught on a recording device, multiple witnesses right there, etc., for me to support capital punishment. I do not mind capital punishment as an actual punishment in itself. However, I could not morally support it for the simple fact that many people (a small percentage, but still many) are wrongly convicted of all crimes. I also think the methods of executions are pretty much absurd. Find one case where death by firing squad wouldn't be a better solution. They are all dead in a matter of seconds.

The lethal injection / gas chamber / electric chair appear to be drawn out circus shows despite claiming to be the "most humane" way to kill someone. I've read a lot of stories about botched lethal injections, and the irony is that pets get euthanized easily and in a very humane way, just falling asleep. Not that I care, either, about someone whose murders a family and kids getting humane treatment (though the Constitution prohibits it). I just think the contradictions in the process should be ironed out.

Without commenting on whether or not chemical castration is appropriate or not, it is basically considered reversible, with some side effects.

I finally got around to watching Chernobyl and I only have one question. What's all the fuss about? I didn't think it was anything special.

I'm feeling better now, I thought I was missing it ...
I watched 2 episodes and was not impressed and the acting was cheap.

I won’t die on a hill for it, but I thought it was a darn good miniseries. I thought Jared Harris killed it in that role. The animal control part was excessive (and factually incorrect), though, and kind of puts a stain on the series for me because it was so bothersome and arguably gratuitous.

Did you have really high expectations with all the hype? I can understand it not living up to it if you’re expecting to see the greatest show ever. I just saw it as an interesting series that really captured the time and event, which was pretty interesting. The plot was somewhat limited to the scope of the event with a small dramatic license with the scientific truth versus communist propaganda angle.

There’s just so much mediocre television that I would highly recommend it as a well-made series, though it doesn’t belong with (or try to be) all-time great television.

After reading this, I think physical castration is the better Plan B, if Plan A (never let them back into society) fails. It’s bizarre how all these scientists, lawmakers, and ACLU are so concerned about the rights of predators but not child victims. Yeah, let’s wait until a second offense (caught) and then we’ll make them take a reverse Viagra and release them again, as long as they promise to be good. Get all the non-violent criminals into some low cost prison or house arrest and fill up the max security prisons with these roaches, letting them eliminate each other. Throw away the key.
