I figured it wasn’t going to be pretty when it took that long to screen it to the critics (usually movies this big have reviews coming out up to a week before), but not that bad.

Excited about E3 but not the PS5. I'm a member of the PC Master Race (RTX 2080 over here).

The Rise and Fall of the Professional Sports Bettor

Interesting article on how sports books will severely limit or outright ban bettors who win too much. Apparently this has been common in Europe and now the European book management companies are being hired to run US books.

So anyone who thinks they have a system to win consistently at sports betting is SOL.

    Regards,
    Chris

Never wild turkey hunted but ate one and it was real good. They are thick as sparrows here. So much food to eat - soybeans, corn and milo.

    I fish.

When I was living in Montana we'd have giant ass wild turkeys in our yard a lot and maaaan had I stayed there I definitely would have learned how to hunt and clean them because turkey (done right so it's good and greasy) is probably my favorite meat and I've tried everything from snake to camel. Oddly I haven't found a way to eat bear yet, but I really want to.

Also, total aside last year during that particularly awful preseason game against the Panthers my best friend and I ate bugs. I bought a bunch of bugs from Amazon and the deal was every time the other team got a first down we had to eat a cricket. Every time the Patriots ****ed up we'd have to eat one of the less-appealing bugs (water scorpions, silkworm larvae, etc) and every time the Panthers scored we'd have to eat one of the really big ones.

It was such a bad game that by halftime we were both pretty much passed the yuck factor and just too full to eat more so we both ate a scorpion and called it a day.

Out of all of them I think silkworm larvae were the best, by far. With some olive oil and parmesan I think they'd be downright delicious. Crickets were fine. Water scorpions sucked and the big scorpions were meaty in the center in a way that didn't exactly thrill me. But I got over my fear of eating bugs so there's that.

to git yer bear meat, you'll need a buck knife and some balls, well somebody's balls that ain't so small. Then fly up to Seattle and take the ferry to Juneau and then hire some cereal killer lookin dude and helicopter out into the Wilds. Fart some then fart some more. Pretty soon you'll have bear meat all around you and that's when you'll need that buck knife and somebody else's balls. if you live, start a fire and cook the bear meat not the balls of crazy courage. have some ticks for dessert.

Chernobyl with a 9.7 on IMDB. I’m in! After I finish the Breaking Bad rewatch (and not in a hurry to finish this masterpiece).

Ummm...Miley Cyrus on Black Mirror? Wtf.

How is Black Mirror, as a series in general? I think I started to watch the first episode a couple of years ago, got bored, and never thought of it again. I’ve heard people grumbling about the choose your fate thing, as well as the short, 3 episode season, so I’m kinda turned off by it at the moment.

Hit or miss, but the hits are great. Wonderful thing about it is each episode is an entire story contained within itself, so a crummy episode doesn’t ruin anything else.

We seem to have similar tastes in shows, from what I recall. Granted, if you’re not into the futuristic technology-dysutopian society idea, you may just not like them. I also disliked the first episode (The National Anthem) and thought the series probably sucked after watching it.

I’d go with these as Black Mirror’s best and recommend just watching them and not going in chronological order.

The Entire History of You, S1E3 (this one got me very intrigued)
    USS Callister, S4E1 (Emmy Winner)
Hang the DJ, S4E4 (my personal favorite)
    San Junípero, S3E4 (Emmy Winner)
Shut Up and Dance, S3E3 (most quintessential BM episode - fast-paced, dark and gripping)

    Be Right Back, S2E1 (solid)
Playtest S3E2 (another solid one, creepy)

Other pretty good ones are White Christmas, White Bear, Metalhead, and Black Museum.

Newly released Season 5 is pretty crappy. That is the three episode season. Smithereens is a decent watch but doesn’t really feel like a typical BM episode.

I thoroughly enjoyed Bandersnatch, the choose your own adventure, but I’d recommend seeing if you like the general theme first.

Let me know your thoughts if you give it a go!
