Julian Edelman doesn't tend to get the credit and respect he deserves around the league, but one former player took notice in a recent ESPN segment, putting him ahead of some notable names which created some controversy.

I don't follow it nearly enough. I likely won't watch Sunday morning, as I have a fishing trip planned. I have a buddy who's got friends at NH F&G. Says he knows a spot where they put in 2-3lb brookies this week.

I did some fishing up in Wells, ME last week. Usually grab 2-3 stripers ( I release ) but the freaking seals are eating them. Got zip.

Matter of time before the GWs head up from the Cape and start snacking on the harbor seals.

Anyone see Aladdin yet. The new one? Any good?

I need to entertain some 6th graders. Maybe they see that and I see John Wick 3

I saw the new Spider-man last night. It was an above average Marvel movie but man one thing is driving me mad but I don't want to spoil it so just know I'm mad.

I've been slowly working my way through Homicide: Life on the Street again, and I've realized that Frank Pembleton is my role model: a total control freak with a black view of humanity (he's smarter and better looking than me, though).

I don’t know why, but I have less than zero interest in seeing that. I’ll catch it when it’s on digital.

There's video of one off York, long sands. I will see if I can find it. Big, like Jaws big. I am never going in that water again. Hard pass.

Edit: Here it is. Never again.

My wife took our 4th and 6th grade grandsons to it. One of them liked it, the other loved it. My wife said it was kind of meh compared to the animated version but she did say it wasn't painful and she's suffered through a lot worse.

I think that was the same Basking Shark that was seen near Hampton, NH. You can tell by the pelvic fin. GWs don't have 'em that big.

But I agree- Big fish like that make me nervous.

With all the chaos going on in the NBA, the NFL has felt so dead over the last month. Can’t wait for things to pick back up.

Anyone watch Stranger Things S3? Didn’t disappoint. I have never seen a show quite like this...the pace it goes at and the cliffhangers at the end of virtually every scene are just so well done. Specific thoughts that are more critical/nitpicky:

    1. The plot moved well, but this was one season where a few plot twists could have helped. The viewer has figured out the major framework by the 3rd or 4th episode. Watching the characters catch up to what we already know is painful at times.

    2. I am glad the Byers moved because Jonathan is a totally useless character whose main contribution this season was grabbing a phone book, Will is essentially a human Mind Flayer detector (and nothing else), and Joyce starts to get like finger nails on a chalkboard. This was a needed shakeup. I hope next season will have a smaller dose of Joy. Some new characters next season are needed, as this one largely just reused the same personalities. Billy, Dustin, Nancy, Steve, Erica (lol), and Lucas really carried the show. Mike and Eleven’s act is old, along with Joyce and Hop. Hop will be back, obviously, but he’s another one whose role needs to be reduced. Mike is the biggest freakin tool ever.

    3. Too bad they killed off Billy. That dude was a tremendous actor and stole the show again this year.

My sixth-grade boy would roll his eyes at Alladin being way way too young for him. Spider-man would do the trick for sure though.

Yea I'm dealing with 6th grade girls here. My youngest didn't want to go to Florida Georgia Line with Mrs RW and her sisters tonight so she wants to do something with her friends. I might just take 'em to the mall.

I'm missing my golf league tonight too.

I haven't see the film, but my daughters would definitely go for it. The boy needs to see something killed or blown up.

Overall I thought it was very good... the one thing that annoyed me was Hopper throughout the season.. he took the ahole dad thing a little over the top, and the dating Joyce stuff.. Definitely agreed on Mike.. he was his usual annoying self.. something about that kid I've never liked, just obnoxious IMO.
